Power in Culture
This landmark study examines how campus climate shapes the academic experiences of Indigenous students at colleges and universities across the country. Drawing on survey data from Cobell scholars and partner institutions, it identifies the cultural, social, and institutional factors that either support or undermine a sense of belonging. The findings inform how IEI designs its programs and advocates for systemic change in higher education.

This national study explored college affordability for Indigenous students, conducted in partnership with the American Indian College Fund, Cobell Scholarship Program, American Indian Science and Engineering Society, and American Indian Graduate Center. Supported by the Lumina Foundation, the research examines the financial barriers Native students face and offers practice and policy recommendations for improving access and completion in higher education.
