Indigenous Education, Inc. (IEI), the nonprofit that administers the Cobell Scholarship, operates this website and is responsible for the personal information it collects here. You can reach IEI using the contact details at the end of this policy.

When you fill out the contact form, we collect the information you enter: your first and last name, your email address, the subject and topic of your message, and the message itself. We use it for one purpose — to read your message and respond to you.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking on this site, and we set no cookies to track your activity. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Contact-form submissions are delivered to the IEI team by email through Postmark, a third-party transactional email delivery provider, which transmits the message on our behalf. Your email address is attached so we can reply directly. Postmark processes the message only to deliver it; its handling of the data is governed by its own terms and privacy practices.

We keep contact messages for as long as needed to respond to you and to follow up on your inquiry. A specific retention schedule is under review by counsel and will be added here once finalized.

Applying for the scholarship happens on separate application and reviewer portals, which are operated on their own systems and covered by their own privacy terms. This policy covers only the cobellscholar.org website and its contact form.

You can ask us what contact information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email scholarships@cobellscholar.org or write to the mailing address below, and we will respond as promptly as we can.
