About This Scholarship

Momentum matters. The Summer Scholarship keeps you moving between terms — whether you're making up credits, getting ahead of a heavy fall schedule, or fitting in courses that aren't offered during the regular year. Undergraduate, graduate, and vocational students are all eligible.

Eligibility

  • Enrolled member of a U.S. Federally-recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Corporation
  • Pursuing an undergraduate, graduate, or vocational degree at an accredited, nonprofit institution of higher education
  • Taking summer courses
  • Degree-seeking and making progress toward graduation

All applications are submitted through the OASIS portal. The summer cycle is separate from the academic year — make sure you apply during the right window. Deadline closes at 11:59 PM MST.

Priority

Who gets priority?

All eligible applicants are considered, but priority goes to students in these situations:

  1. Students who need summer courses to graduate by the end of the summer term

  2. Students who need summer courses to graduate by the end of the fall term

  3. Students in a cohort required by their program to attend summer classes

  4. Students who, because of family or career obligations, can only attend full-time courses in the summer (for example, teachers or members of certain academic cohorts)

  5. Students enrolled in unpaid internship academic credit hours required for graduation

  6. Students needing required courses that are only offered during the summer term
